  • The Airowear Childs Reiver Body Protector provides the highest standard of protection for young horse riders and is a must for youngsters that are competing or attending pony club camp. This horse riding body protector is made from unique materials which spread and absorb impact to help reduce trauma in the event of a fall or a kick. The UltraFlex technology used to make this body protector results in it being incredibly comfortable to wear which is so important for young riders.

    The Airowear Reiver is a traditional tabard design which is extremely easy to fit; it also features an additional safety belt around the waist to ensure a secure fit is achieved.  This horse riding body protector features adjustable shoulder and waist fastenings allowing you to adjust the fit accordingly.

    The Airowear Childs Reiver cover is removable allowing it to be washed easily; it can also be changed using the Airowear Colour Swap if your child fancies a new colour way or wants to change their cross country colours!

    The Airowear Reiver Childs Body Protector offers the highest level of protection EN13158:2018 and BETA 2018 Standard Level 3.  The design is annually retested to give you peace of mind that your child is wearing the highest level of safety garment.

    The Airowear Reiver Childs Body Protector is available in Child XX Small - X Large in three back lengths. The Reiver is also available in adults sizes and matching shoulder protectors are available.

How to measure

Before ordering this body protector, please follow the steps below.

  1. Refer to the sizing table above.
  2. Measure over light clothing using a soft tape measure in centimetres (cm).
  3. Chest: Under the arms and around the widest part.
  4. Waist: Above your hips, close to your lower ribs.
  5. Over the shoulder: Start from the front waist above your hip, over the shoulder to the same waist point on your back.
  6. Garment back length: This is the measurement of the body protector. When seated in the saddle, measure from the nape of your neck to approximately 7cm above the point of the saddle. This will confirm the back length is suitable and will not interfere with the saddle when riding.
